Freedom Festival Parade - 2013





           Congratulations to the Parade Committee for a job well done.  The committe's work earned a first place finish for the "Pledge to the flag" float.  The flag was a two-sided 5' X 10' stainless and copper penny clad stripes, with black aluminum, and stainless polished stars.  We also had several tin men--an Uncle Sam tin man, a Man of Steel tin man, and local favorites: Cowboy and Mr. Shades tin men.  Betsy Ross sewing the Betsy Ross flag and Lady Liberty were on the float as well. Several members and their families also came out to help walk with the float and hand out candy.

Steak Fry

The Hawkeye Labor Council AFL-CIO is holding a steak fry, everyone is welcome. To purchase tickets please contact Rick Moyle @ 319-396-8461 or e-mail rmoyle@hawheyelabor.us  $20.00 per ticket. Table sponsorships are available for $200.00.

There will be a raffle for a new 40" TV at the event to benefit the Community Services Program.
