Operation Restock

The Sheet Metal Workers Local #263 are working with the Building Pros of Eastern Iowa to collect and distribute food to local families in need. Spread the word.  NO donation is too small. Every food item and every penny donated is appreciated. You'll have many opportunities to make Operation Restock a success. We currently have collection boxes at the union hall and training center. If you are attending a union event or training event, at the Training Center or union hall, please bring a can of food or a non-perishable food item and make a donation in the Operation Restock collection box. All donations will go to the HACAP emergency food pantry. The demand on the food pantry is up 30% this year. Families right here in Eastern Iowa are struggling to get by and many adults and children are going hungry.
Visit  for more information on
 Operation Restock
The Building Pros have launched OPERATION RESTOCK and are committed to raise funds for at least 250,000 pounds of food for local area emergency food pantries. All cash or food donations are tax deductible. If you wish more information as to how to help OPERATION RESTOCK, just click here for more information and thank you in advance for helping The Building Pros help our neighbors.

Take Me Out to the Ballpark - SMWIA #263 at the Kernels - #1

A night at the ballpark is a family affair for SMWIA Local #263.
A few children/grandchildren of SMWIA members were selected to sit in the Kernels dugout--and then go out on the field to stand with "their" player while the National Anthem was playing.  They also were able to get an autograph from their player.

Other activities were enjoyed pre-game -- hula hoop contests, waiting in line for prizes...
